Five Romanian DJs, all well-known and each of which is itself a trendsetter believe strongly into the EVEs they use in their studios. In connection with our 5th company jubilee we had the chance to visit and video them in their studios.
Please check out the videos – subtitles are available in several languages – and find out what they say about their EVEs:
Starting out with small gigs, Mahony ended up being the resident DJ at Kudos Beach during the summers – a staple
in the Romanian electronic scene at that time. He soon started producing his own music and released "Literalmente EP"
on Fumakilla Records, the "Oh boy Oh Boy" EP on District Raw, and "De departe" on Fear of Flying. His life changed
in 2010 when he began his residency at Romania's best electronic music club: Kristal Glam Club. Ever since Mahony
has played alongside Lee Burridge, Dubfire, Audiofly, John Digweed, Carl Cox, dOP, James Zabiela, Pan-Pot, and
many other world renown artists. With his experience at the Sunwaves festival and his residency at Kristal, Mahony
started to play throughout Europe, in cities like Paris, Berlin and Barcelona.
He's always looking for new sounds, that's why his major priority is producing music and investing in his own studio.
Manuel Riva (SC208)
Electronic dance music DJ/producer Manuel Riva (George Emanuel Călin) has managed to become one
of the most successful Romanian music producers, being the core producer for several Romanian
mainstream dance acts for many years.
Presently, Manuel Riva is going down the deep-tech-house path for his productions and also as a DJ – a music that defines him perfectly.
Under his new alias, Manuel Riva proved his worth as a producer last year, releasing several powerful deep and tech tracks, including "How you say" (together with Hyptonix), "Wrong or Right" (with Eneli), the famous Noa Club official anthem ("We Are One" with Eneli), "Mhm Mhm" (also with Eneli) – one of his most successful singles so far mainly because of the international recognition garnered, and also several remixes and bootlegs.
His latest collaboration with Optick and Eneli goes under the name "Close the deal" and is a deep and progressive-flavoured tune which has already caught the attention of EDM king Tiesto who just played it during one of his latest Club Life radio shows.
Matteo (SC207 + TS108)
Matteo started his carrier in 2006, in Bucharest. He grew up listening to artists like Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Chaka Demus & Plies, and Black Uhru, which explains why his music is so influenced by the reggae culture and Balkan rhythms. His collaboration with Romanian singer Loredana Groza marked his debut on the Romanian music scene and took him to the top of the charts.
Raoul Russu (SC208)
Respected and acknowledged as one of house music's innovators, Raoul is a legend in his own right,
who has helped to reshape the future of the dance scene as we know it!
Starting out as a DJ in 1999, Raoul soon developed new skills that led him to produce records released on Romanian major labels. The first vinyl ever produced in Romania was signed by Raoul and released in the year 2000.
He is considered an incredibly versatile DJ, with a deep understanding of the roots of dance music. His ability to read a crowd and create an atmosphere clearly demonstrates his gift for knowing what to play, and when.
Victor Stancov (SC207)
Victor Stancov is the newest members of Groove++ Management Romania. With just 21 years and 1 year as a DJ,
he has established himself in the Romanian music market.

He was also among the nominees at Seeme-Sofia 2009, one of the biggest awards shows in Eastern Europe. He currently spends his time between the studio and Martin Studio – one of Romania's biggest electronic music clubs – where he is resident DJ.
