In his studio Robby relies on a pair of
that he says the following about:
"These SC307's are pretty much my perfect monitor. I tried a bunch and I just felt that what I needed for myself was a monitor that was super, super true and that would make me make really good mix decisions and I feel that the SC307's do that. The stereo image is amazing on them. The tweeter produces a really nice sheen on the high end without having to tire your ears. You can work on them for hours and hours and hours. Even at low volume the SC307 sound amazing. The bass is super tight. If you're in the studio for 8-9 hours a day you don't want to do things that are detrimental to your mix because you have tired ears and I just find with these Eve monitors you don't get that."

"That characteristic "extremely detailed, yet extremely smooth" ribbon tweet response massaged my ears with nicely balanced and imaged vocals, snare drums and midrange instruments — all strength areas for folded-ribbon designs."
"[...] I will still name these Eve 207s as the best ribbon-tweeted nearfields I've heard."
"They have excellent dynamics, flat response, great imaging, powerful bass reproduction, more even vertical and horizontal dispersion than typical for a folded-ribbon tweeter and, most of all, a relaxed, natural and trustworthy midrange reproduction that requires no decoding, learning or translating."

"On first listen, it was immediately obvious these monitors have a seriously pro sound. No one would describe them as sounding small or tinny, as their size might suggest. Rather, they exhibit a full-bodied sound with a surprisingly revealing and detailed presentation."
"It's clear these compact monitors have benefitted from trickle-down technology developed for EVE's larger monitoring systems. Used as a writing tool or on the move, the SC203s offer pro-quality sound in a compact, portable package. Perfect for tweaking mixes outside of the studio, these deliver high-quality sound far bigger – and louder – than their size suggests."
"With a well-ordered, accurate sound that belies their diminutive dimensions, the SC203s offer studio-quality sound in all manner of environments. Ideal for touring musicians/composers who wish to use time spent in hotel rooms more productively, the little EVEs are excellent desktop monitors for those who need to work in confined spaces."

With 20-years of professional experience in music production, mastering, engineering and DJ'ing, and as Assistant Manager at one of Australia's premier Pro Audio retailers, DJ eM has certainly had his fair share of exposure and access to the finest monitors available. eM, or Mike Mammone as he is also known, is such an ardent fan of EVE Audio that he owns one pair SC307, two pairs of SC207 plus a TS110 sub. As Mike says, "when I really believe in something, it's easy to recommend."
Mike's musical journey began around 20-years ago in Melbourne, Australia, when he started his own mobile DJ business. DJ'ing quickly opened Mike's eyes to a multitude of genres, live sound application and the all-important skill of reading and entertaining crowds. As soon as Mike's 18th birthday arrived, Mike quickly transitioned from mobile DJ to club DJ, taking his now well-honed DJ skills to hard dance clubs, venues and events throughout Melbourne.
Fast forward to 2017 and Mike can happily say he's had the privilege of both headlining and supporting some of Australia's biggest dance parties alongside some of the most prolific artists in the world. On the production side, eM has yielded chart topping hits on some of the biggest dance music distribution sites in the world. For the past few years Mike has also been busy with Bass Empire, the studio where Mike offers services such as mastering, mixing, production and tuition.
We asked Mike what it was about EVE that he loved so much...
"It has to be the stereo imaging. It's amazing, but also retains all the mono information in the mix. The EVE's produce such a beautifully balanced sound. Whilst the ribbon tweeters are incredibly detailed, they aren't fatiguing to the ears, which is very important to me."
